Food and Photos

As part of Journal Your Christmas, we were supposed to take a photo of baked goods yesterday. As you can see mine didn't go so well! I think if the food had more color it would have improved the photo. I used what we had and it sort of fell flat. I then tried to improve with doing some fun editing, but that didn't go so well either!

Last night we made garlands with the Girls. They enjoyed and I forgot to take a photo! Oops.

It is important to be flexible

It is important to be flexible during Christmas. We were supposed to go to see Santa yesterday, but it was cold and very windy and we decided to switche days. We played a game and enjoyed a fire last night. Thursday night we will go see Santa, and Miss Cocopugs is hoping for Rudolph.

Marshmallows and Snowflakes

I learned how to use layers in PSE. Not hard, but boy is it hard finding how to do this! A photo of Miss Peach altered with some snowflake bokeh. A little bit of fun. This is from the parade in Middleburg this past Saturday.

December Weather and Day Two

Today I'm contemplating December weather and light. The two seem to go hand-in-hand for me. It is cold and chilly, but the light seems weak and the sun is merely a token of its normal self. I suspect the sun goes on vacation in December and hires a weak substitute.

Our Advent Action Cards

We started our Advent Action cards yesterday. Our first activity was to hang our wreath. The girls are enjoying the cards.

My Christmas Manifesto

To slow down and enjoy each day of December.

To savor and relish this time with my family and friends. It might not be perfect, but it will be special for us.

To take time to photograph and journal the daily events so we can look back and remember.
